They become lobbyists. There are some 50,000 in Washington D.C, alone. Nothing new, they were around in Washington and Jefferson's day. But what they really do in one form or another is bribe our representatives. You can deny that all you want, but it's the truth, and what lobbying does is give money an audience to your representatives, while you the little man has none. In my 50 yr old neighborhood, the elderly are terrified when one neighbor thinks he has to shoot fireworks off for the 4th of July, New Years, and whenever Alabama beats Auburn in football. Most of the people in this neighborhood are scared because they are old and unable to just run out the door. This guy wakes up the entire neighborhood around midnight. My favorite part is that fireworks are supposed to be illegal in the city limits. Many of us have called the police, but the man continues his display. We just pray he won't set a yard or house on fire. Fireworks are the only thing I would love to see destroyed.
