It is noteworthy that an armed School Resource Officer was on hand. That he went to the building where the shootings were happening. That he stayed outside for some four minutes while the shootings continued. Video was present and recorded his actions. He has since resigned. That would be hard to live with. I know that we need to substantially increase funding For the record Rick Scott and his administration has severely cut funding to schools . Rick Scott needs to stop using tax payer money to settle lawsuits filed against him for violating Florida Sunshine Laws. Rick needs to stop spending millions of tax payer dollars for a sea wall around a golf course in Orlando. Rick Scott refused the Medicaid money from the federal government and cut funding and destroyed the Florida dept of Health. That's why the school health program in Escambia county went away. There where Registered nurses in every school, a medical professional that could identify and seek mental health care for students with mental problems. Politicians stop cutting the budgets and taking schools resource officers and nurses out of schools , they should be increased. Stop wasting our tax dollars and make an investment in our children and their safety. Politicians work for us, they should do their jobs or lets vote them out.
