They have metal detectors in jails courthouses and prisons but can not do the same for schools. This is normal we spend money on funding wars and keeping everyone safe except our children. I really wish more would have said why when the officials was notified the day before no-one had time to speak with this child or his parents. Like really who’s bright idea was it to wait till the next Day. Parent can’t be blamed when their was lack of communication.

I just really feel that the United States needs to put metal detectors in every school. I understand the money aspect but we need to find a way to try to protect these kids. There is no price on our children. Parents can’t hold their children’s hand and make them do the correct thing, ultimately the child has to utilize the tools that they hopefully have been given .

I am the mother of said child, he wasn’t gonna shot anyone or hurt anyone, he was dared to steal the gun out of our locked safe.and made the bad choice to fallow threw.the pills where his meds, that he takes on a daily basics..he knows completely that he did wrong and he will do the time for the crime.he also is truly sorry for what he did and nows he will pay for this all his life..he will not be allowed to return to ransom school.and will get all the help and treatment he needs.im sorry to everyone that this has upset, and scared.as for us the parents we have taken all precaustions of locks ,bolts,and basically made our house like fort knoxs.it was locked down now its bolted down. again im sorry…my son is sorry, and again he will serve all time and do what needs to be done to make a better future for himself.. thank you so much for all the comments as a mother I don’t blame how most of you feel. again im truly sorry and so is he.

Who knows if he wanted to hurt anyone on the bus. Had something been reported already….. The bus was late and they had a substitute bus driver. I’m just saying since it happened in Beulah noone will care. As far as drugs being on the boy ransom drug tested my nephew last week. For whatever reason

The kid obviously didn’t want to harm anyone on the bus, however, very well could have! Had this resource officer not been tipped off it could have been a tragedy for all of us! My child is a 6th grader and I have a niece and nephew in 7th and 8th, I wanted to go get them immediately. But they have to go to school and we have to have faith that they are protected by the authorities. I have so many questions that will obviously go unanswered due to this child being a minor. All we can do is just thank God and pray for the safety of our children…. I know I met my daughter at the door yesterday and just hugged her extra tight.. This is a very emotional situation for us all.
