As a foster mom for a local rescue I've seen.and heard of people getting in an accident,their dog gets scared and runs away. Most of these people never see their pet again. In fact, we bought harnesses that attach to the seat belts for all 8 of our own dogs . I’m glad the dog was rescued so when the owner recovers they’ll have him/her to go home to.
