Yeah, Navy Federal did NOT relocate 7000 people from Virginia. I believe that actual number is well under 1000.

@SWV, Yes I only like this plan IF the majority of the residents are Navy Federal employees then they could walk/bicycle to work. Maybe even a tram system like Walt Disney World parking, paid for by Navy Federal of course. But the intersection problem needs to be completed and solved before this development is started. Construction vehicles would further congest the already clogged Nine Mile Rd. It’s clogged now because the County Commissioners should have started the road improvements at least 3 years ago when they learned that NF planned to move 7,000 employees here from Virginia.

Already coming up with solutions when they haven’t even finished the 4 lanes between I-10 and NFCU to see what effect that has on the traffic.

Navy Federal isn’t the problem. The county is. Poor planning on their part most certainly. Navy Federal seems to be a well respected employer in this are – we don’t want them to leave. The flyover should be completed before any construction on this project (it sounds like a nice place to live) is begun. They can go ahead and do the foundations, etc., but nothing else until the traffic problem is corrected.

LOL, maybe they could restrict occupancy to NFCU employees only until road work is done. They would have no commute and reduce traffic

Untill 9 mile rd and the flyover is FINISHED ,this 773 ×2 occupants SHOULD NOT go forward. Planning board is only looking at the $signs at this time. Navy Federal could say goodbye to Escambia county if we dont get on the ball here
