@Sheila – that issue was resolved last year. It’s no longer scary to enter onto eastbound traffic from there – we have our own lane now.

What I want to know is why they opened, and then quickly re-closed, the far inside lane from 110/10 West traffic. People in this town cannot merge properly as it is, and this section of closed-for-no-apparent-reason-lane becomes bottle necked every single day, several times a day. It’s maddening.

Also, that light on 29 in the northbound lane – like others have pointed out – the northbound drivers aren’t gonna be able to see that until it’s too late. Who approved this design??

Seems to be eliminating some problems, but creating new ones. Hope it works, but something needs to be done about the traffic back ups in the mornings southbound on 29.

South 29 to East I-10 is great – no more merging required.
But replacing the I-10 to South 29 circle exit ramp seems rediculous. Yes, the exit and entrance ramp traffic has to cross each other at 29, but was is it really a problem? Now, all 29 traffic will have to stop for 1 southbound car at the new light.

Get a close-up of the terribly placed light right after the overpass…no one is going to see that until they’re right at it. So many wrecks…

The problem with that is the ENTRANCE onto 10 after you go around the circle and try to actually get onto the interstate directly above 29 going East. It’s seriously dangerous and scary. Exit has never been a problem. I live in Cantonment and avoid using 10 because I am afraid to get on it at 29 entrance. I do use it going home as the exit onto 29 is no problem at all. They have this backwards!!

In regards to the new westbound offramp to exit south on Hwy 29 towards Pensacola:

Next time your heading north on Hwy 29 and approaching 1-10 bridges,,,,,notice how you cannot see the new traffic light until your almost under the westbound bridge.

Hoping the DOT has this in hand and has some sort of warning that theres a traffic light ahead. Despite the 45mph speed limit, theres going to be speeders that won’t be able to stop and smack the drivers side of drivers getting off the westbound I-10 heading south on hwy 29.
Please be careful North Escambia heading home here!!

I thought the new lane widening from southbound Hwy29 merging to eastbound I-10 was well done.
