I do not feel that we need a traffic light at Hwy 29 and Molino Rd. If people would quite being in such a rush, talking on cell phone, driving DUI/drugs there would not be a problem at that crossing. It’s not the people traveling North and South on Hwy 29 that creates the problem It those individual crossing Hwy 29. Oh, by the way we still have wrecks at Hwy 97 and Hwy 29. Leave the turning lane to the Dollar Store where its at. Next thing we will hear about would be the closing of the Dollar General Store we already don’t have a decent grocery store. Put the money where it would benefit the community.

As much as I dislike another light in our town, I do agree it’s needed. Traffic has become quite busy and there are too many racing up & down 29.
A reduction in speed limits would help as well.
Negative about closing the DG turn… Vendors will start using side roads which is no better.

Oh boy, now we can start the traffic jam in Molino instead of waiting until we get to Cantonment. You would think that with all the; land use, zoning, planning, permitting, and other regulatory agencies, somebody would anticipate some of these problems BEFORE building permits are issued.

Go to the meeting, say your concerns. Speak up that you do not want this and why. I personally think removing the intersection in front of the DG ridiculous. Someone lost their common sense when deciding that.
How do they think the delivery trucks are going to access the DG from South bound 29? …a U turn at the intersection of Bet Raines or at Hwy 97. Oh yes that is a great choice…as neither option has enough room for that.

Now for the light…yes there have been many wrecks at this intersection but a light is not going to change that when drivers are not paying attention and do not understand how to properly use an intersection. Read you handbook! There is a correct way to use a median, I have almost gotten into several accidents, cussed, and flipped the bird for using instections correctly.

Traffic light ..cool…
Closing median cutthrough…bad idea
So instead of wrecks at the light ….they will be further north now for the people making u turns to get to the dollar store..
Guess the coke 18 wheelers need to go to century to turn around …or better yet…no more cokes delivered….

Your exactly right. Especially if all the Yankees and yuppies that has moved to this area get their way. Which they have been getting. Only because they are the only ones involved. Lifetime locals never really got involved in much, we just delt with whatever, whenever. But yes, once the new highway comes in, it’s over. In 20 years, the intersection above will look like 9 Mile Rd, no doubt. What’s sad is these idiots moved here to get away from it yet want to bring it at the same time.

Great, just what we don’t need, another traffic light. That will make my drive to work that much more enjoyable. Stopping where I shouldn’t be stopping. How about instead of spending our tax dollars on a useless traffic light, they just improve the rough highway that we have to drive on. Just right the tickets for the ones that are supposedly causing all these wrecks in Molino. Simple economics, tickets equal revenue, traffic light equals tax dollars wasted, and tourist not wanting to travel down hwy 29. That mean more loss of revenue, people want a expressway to their destination.

That turn lane at West Quintette Road would be wonderful!
I dont turn down there but I hate being in traffic and having everyone in that lane come to a stop just about for someone to turn there.

I do turn at the flashing light all the time without issues. I guess a normal light would be ok as long as people stop when they should. I know I wont trust ANYONE going through that area.

Maybe they can move the flashing caution light to Barrineau Park Road, crossing 29 after dark there is like playing Russian Roulette.
