Intersection needs a lot more visual warnings prior to intersection!! Maybe a dangerous rating sign from 1 to 10 or something to make people aware of how dangerous it is!

There are fewer accidents as there now since they finally put in a light. Unfortunately that intersection really needs some redesign, but it is still better than no light there.

The light is working better than I expected. And you are right, until vehicles drive themselves, the drivers are responsible for what they do. The problem is that there are too many options and uncertainty of what other drivers intend to do:

Southbound on 29:
Right onto 97
or left onto 97
or right onto 97 and then left onto Crabtree
or right onto 97 and then left onto Crabtree and then left into Tom Thumb (two entrances at that)
or cross 97 and then right into Tom Thumb?

Northbound on 29:
Left onto 97
or right on 97
or cross 97 and just stay on 29
or left onto 97 and then left onto Crabtree
or left onto 97 and then left onto Crabtree and then left into Tom Thumb
or take a U-turn and turn right into Tom Thumb
or just take a U-turn and head south on 29?

Northbound on 97:
Cross 29 and stay on 97
or cross 29 and then left onto Crabtree
or cross 29 and then left onto Crabtree and then left into Tom Thumb
or left on 29 and head south
or left on 29 and turn right into Tom Thumb?

Southbound on 97:
Right onto Crabtree
or right on 29
or right on 29 and then right into Tom Thumb
or left on 29
or cross 29 and stay on 97?

And you never know what every other driver intends to do no matter what is signaled or not signaled by other drivers or even yourself. (Sometimes you forget to give a signal or kill a signal from a previous lane change.) Some drivers seem to have never learned to use their turn signals.

It’s dangerous. I have had good friends die there and miss them.

Unfortunately the yankees and transplants from town have the loudest voices in “today’s” north end.
