Well, we paid a tax when bought the TV…..paying a tax on cable/ dish bill every
month. Payin a uuge tax ( mental) on the lousy commercials…..and I can’t even
tell what they’re trying to sell me anymore. Thens the issue of 9 commercials for each 5 minutes of play during College football games…..they’re driving me to drink
but it ain’t allowed onany of their commercials. Maybe I’ll just watch the
Smithsonian channel & actually learn somtin!

Could be worse, the Germans have to pay a tax for owning a television. I remember seeing the vans with antenna arrays on top, that could detect the presence of an untaxed television, roaming the streets of Wiesbaden looking. I would have loved to have known how a passive receiving device could be detected, cica 1985.

Is there anything they don’t tax ? Now they’re arguing ( payin lawyers ) about
something we get outta the air.. Would/could you be taxed for using rabbit ears ?
How bout an old style TV antenna ? I guess next they’ll wanna tax us for watching
commercials …….
