@in Disbelief. At least 400. I’ve coached so I know the importance of having good coaches. When the talent level is down you work harder on skills, knowledge of how the game is played. You chart the opposing teams tendencies, pass or run in each and every down and distance. down and distance. Runs Strong or weak in each and every down distance. Putting players egos aside and putting players in a position that gives them
A solid chance of succeeding. And on top of that you don’t ever convey it’s ok to lose because it’s not. They keep score so if it’s not then no one would keep score. I’ve played on a team as a sophomore that went 1-9. We were terribly coached. If coaching is not a factor then anyone could be a coach. Coaching peewee is nowhere near coaching at a high school.

Really? How many students does Northview have? You are not going to have the talent coming up each year like the big schools do. You had the Robinson brothers for a few years, they made the difference. It wasn't the coaching, its the talent the coaches have to work with. If you think differently, then you have never had to deal with it yourself. Kids I helped coach up through 8th grade(not in Northview area) were successful every year, under different head coaches. When that group hit high school they had great Freshman/JV seasons. The coaches were working with the talent that they had. The group ahead of them, and the one behind them had terrible seasons until they hit varsity, same coaches, different talent. The varsity years saw our group's record decline some as they used many seniors ahead of them their first year, but it just shows that even big schools have the problem of talent not being at the same level each year. Are your boys becoming better men because of the coaching and teaching they receive? A record doesn't show how much they have grown and matured in the really important ways. Don't expect Div I prospects coming out of Northview unless they were preparing for it from 5 yrs old. It's BS to say a player is only as good as the coach he had for his last two years. If was a committed athlete, HE would have gotten into the shape that he needed to be in before he got to that level.

Terribly concerned. Nothing seems to have changed. Seems we hear the same things over and over. Yet not much really changes. Not sure what's going to happen next year but we need something

1 and 8. I think it’s time for a change. Kids are only going to be as good as they are coached. Even the stands showed it last night. Baker had more fans there than Northview did and they had to travel an hour or so. Just overall school/fan spirit seems off this year.
