Brandy – Yes there was a hallway full of children’s books.

Mean Jean – We try to sell the books multiple times at different sales. Our main goal is to keep the books in the community. We do allow some non-profits (like Open Books) to come take certain items that do not sell. If all else fails, we ship the books to an online wholesaler that sells them at places like Amazon.

I brought the whole family down and we found lots of good books to buy. A few for me, my wife, several for the kids, and my sister-in-law. The library had a small room of special collections including a table of many “banned” books that were shunned by various school boards and libraries around the country over the years. We bought one of those too!

Is there such a thing as a bad book? This sale makes me think about things I’ve never had an interest in. Like going back to school with no pressure to learn. The bonus is the smell!
