Most of it FLIES ON COMMERCIAL PASSENGER PLANES! no planes flying, no mail moves. I wonder how many of you would actually go out and drive or walk in the conditions created by hurricane Irma? And seriously folks, if your mail was delivered, who knows if it would still be there after the wind and rain subsided? I would think it would be better to wait a few days and get my mail and packages intact. Take it from a mail carrier, we deliver in many extreme conditions, but some are just NOT possible. Give them a break! I am certain that much of the mail that would be delivered here is weather delayed. The information from the USPS did not say this, so we can't put it directly in the story.
