Let’s not forget, this monster killed his ex girlfriend following their breakup. He stalked he harassed and stalked her eventually murdering her in front of her 3 year old daughter by pulling her by the hair and shooting her in the head. Where was Jennifer’s mercy?

@ A spouse— I disagree. I think officers should be able to horsewhip this guy. Like a child, it needs to hurt. They need to feel pain. There has to be fear of the punishment or they’ll keep on.

Chris in Molino, nobody should do without food but if they refuse to eat that’s something different, there are some that refuse to eat the loaf. Nobody should be kicked to sleep. But there are consequences if they hurt someone & that someone is fighting back to defend themselves. They should also receive medical treatment,. The HIPA also needs to be dropped so that the officers have a right to know if they have any diseases like HIV or AIDS, prisoners also should be mandatory tested all throughout the prison term & when released.

You’re condoning, make that encouraging, brutality against an inmate? How nice! I hope you don’t have children but if you do I hope they are never in prison and subjected to mistreatment by brutal prison guards. My son is serving a lengthy sentence for a relatively minor offense and he’s been abused by guards simply because he’s too timid to fight back. He may be a prisoner but he’s still a human being.

Back in the day, I’d see inmates come to Starke for assaulting staff somewhere else. They’d get kicked to sleep. No food or medical attention for days. Some every now and then, beat to death. Not saying that should happen (not out loud) however, officers should be able to put boots on him a Lott bit without fear of retribution. It appears prison officers are getting the poop end of the stick these days. No support from Central Office. Sad.

Mr. Nobody, you guys can only do what you can, you’re doing what some refuse to do, but not all staff are scared to the point they won’t do their job, yeah it’s scary, not just for the workers but for their families at times but you still gotta do it & you keep doing what you’re supposed to be doing to help support your fellow workers & help watch their backs. Your families also should be supporting their workers. Sometimes confinement is so full that they might not be able to do anything. Dont give up, then it’s left up to the others. Some talk the talk but can’t walk the walk. That officer might be the smallest but I’m guessing he could hold his own for a bit if need be.This is just me talking but some of the officers are so out of shape, they couldn’t fight their way out of a wet paper sack. Sad if some really needed backup. It used to be where officers had physical guidelines to follow. Some need to get out & get in shape. To answer the others questions, I can’t say for sure but I heard the inmate has a better attitude.

He attacked and bit the smallest Sergeant we have. The administration has installed cameras everywhere including outside and tell us it’s a tool for us to use. The problem is when you review the cameras and see in plain view inmates assaulting other inmates or committing any other crime they don’t want you to do anything about it. The cameras are clearly installed to catch the officers and sergeants doing wrong. I hate my job now. They threaten to have us arrested if we do anything that LOOKS wrong on camera. If anyone was to walk into this facility at any given time they would see the inmates doing whatever they want because the majority of the staff are afraid to correct the inmates. Not because the inmates are scary but because the administration will discipline us if it just looks like we did something wrong. The inspectors office call century the stabbin cabin. That’s saying a lot. We have inmates with iPhones now. They obtain them illegally and the staff doesn’t even care anymore because when u catch them with phones and drugs and weapons nothing happens anymore. We caught an inmate with multiple phones and drugs and a weapon and he received a famous disciplinary report and was released from confinement within a week. Why try anymore? It won’t be long before there’s no one left to work at the prison. Then what will Julie jones do? We have so many staff members actively seeking employment elsewhere myself included. Julie jones tied our hands and makes us out to be the bad guys so why would we care anymore?
