Everyone that lives in this area should at least have 3 days worth of food and water/fuel on hand. If you have a generator, get extra fuel AHEAD of a pending emergency and then you can use rechargeable batteries if you have them. Lots of things you can do now. The food you can eat if the storm doesn't come this way and you can replace it as you go. Being prepared early allows you to evacuate early if needed, or, if you decide to stay, to batten down the hatches and help your neighbors do the same. We are all in this together. I'm sick of trying to help others get ready only to be ridiculed, so I sit back and enjoy myself. And yea...I DO rather enjoy throwing some greasy slices of ridicule back out there just to see which of the ignorant slip on it. Sometimes, it's the simple pleasures in life that are the most fun. @Phil

I'm sitting in my office listening to everyone whine about not being able to get water and laughing. They think that water in a bottle from the store is the only way to have water on hand. Fill up some empty soda bottles with tap water (that's all that is in the bottled water anyway), fill up some empty milk jugs. Think outside the box folks. @Sedition, preach it brother! If one would keep a few extra supplies on hand and buy a couple more needed items each week, and keep doing this year round, one could stay ahead of the game and not have to go through this rat race. Does no one remember the '14 flood or freeze? Did THAT teach you nothing? It's times like these that should show that preppers aren't crazy, but we ARE easily entertained by watching others run around like a kicked-up ant bed. Sad. Idiots one and all.
