received a letter from Escambia county department of public works inviting the public to a meeting on sept 21.
no where in the letter did it state the location of the meeting. there wasn’t any contact phone number. I call the Escambia county information number the lady had no number for public works. I call Mr Bergosh’s number left message no response.

Attended the 30 year build out meetings a few years back. Still don’t see how this plan is needed. The North end of it will be close to another industrial park?

Dist. 5 commissioner was there. We talked to him, he was very informative. He just didn’t make a scene while he was there. This project is going to be in the works for many years to come. So don’t get to upset over everything right now. Planning stages take forever. If we work together and stay involved, things will work out for the good of all concerned, and especially this county.

I find it interesting that after a first meeting that was absolutely the worst case of information sharing I have ever seen, very poorly thought out, no parking, no commissioners except Mr. Bergosh (shame on you Dist 5 commissioner) and ending with one of the “officials” arguing loudly with a citizen, a total disaster for all parties, now, the next meeting is during the work day which limits the amount of people who may attend. Do not be fooled, Cantonment is one area that will not go lightly into the night. We want to know what happens to our lovely area. Our land has gone from family to family and we will protect it as much as we are able. So treat us with dignity please. I encourage everyone who is able to go to this meeting and every one we can make. I know I will make efforts to do so. Our sheer numbers can speak volumes! #keepthefaithandprotectourland #numberstalk

some one may want to ask the question if the proposed bypass has anything to do with a proposed nuclear power plant from a few years past that needed a bypass.

Took 20 years to work on 9 mile road and its not even close to being widened. YET our locals trying to get a beltway plan that wont be done by 2050 at our county pace. Beltway should be planned for Century annex

The website that was provided for information when the initial meeting was held is http://www.beulahbeltway.com. The meeting has yet to be rescheduled. The county commissioners will be discussing a new meeting date/time/location during their meeting on 9/21. The numbers on the map are correlated with the possible path of the new beltway. If you go to the website, it states each one of those numbers and provides pros and cons to each. I hope this helps.
