This was bad luck all around. We are the house next door. The tree ripped our electrical box off our house when it fell. Fortunately our neighbors kept power the whole time, it would have added insult to injury after losing their car! We has to get an electrician to replace the whole thing and what out of power for about 12 hours. This is just another frustrating story in a long line of storms for us as it seems that every big storm that comes in as neighbors tree falls and damages something of ours. Last time we were in a hotel for a month waiting on repairs. I'm not complaining, mind you, no one has ever been hurt and we still have a home. I feel very lucky right now and my heart goes out to the storm victims in Texas.

If you notice the trees that have fallen 99% of them have some type of rot/damage to them. Please home owners check your trees if they show any type of damage you need to call a tree company to look at it to be safe.
