They are all dead. Both sides were wrong, both sides had slaves, It was about money, power, and greed. When do two wrongs make a right? The civil war, both sides lost thousands of american lives, but it lead to the end of slavery, on both sides.It also lead to a united country that has done many good things for this world. What is wrong with this nation that both sides have a differant view of history, Both sides need to go back and expose what really lead up to this war. Now you cannot erase history, and why would you want to? We have all done bad things in our past, but if you learn from it, It made you a better person, so to remove that bad past, would be removing the thing, that made us better, I find, the current move to remove things that offend people very wrong. We are all offended ever day by things.It is not up to our current elected officalls to decide history, they will soon be gone, but history remains forever. It must be taught embraced, good or bad, or we will relive it, , Please take your time to learn the true lessons of this war. Robert Lee Hudson God bless this great nation.
