REGARDING:
"This article never stated who originated this law; was it the American Medical Association or the Govt.?"

Actually, it did.
"The law, which was backed by groups such as the National Rifle Association, included a series of restrictions on doctors and health providers."

Florida's legislators passed the law at the request and encouragement of the National Rifle Association for the purpose of the state being able to punish doctors for saying things the government didn't want said, asking questions the government didn't want asked.

It doesn't matter if the questions were wise or foolish.
It matters that our government wanted to silence some of us.

There is an historically accepted principle in the academic consideration of Ethics (not the capital E): The Principle of Double Effect: If someone asks a question that is none of their business, the respondent may tell the questioner anything they please. Since the questioner has asked something they have no right to know, their failure to understand the answer as a rejection of their right to know and instead accepts it as the truth, their misunderstanding is their fault.

E.g., a parent who has an arsenal in their home is on solid ethical ground Telling a pediatrician, "Oh, we're card-carrying members of the Lunatic Left and we think guns ought to be taken away from law enforcement officers and the Army!"

Does anyone really think that questioning patients about gun ownership has anything to do with "family safety"? This is just more of government getting involved in private citizen's personal business in order to intimidate now and keep records to confiscate later. Just a bunch of left over Obama b.s. My first amendment right guarantees me that if the question of whether there are guns in my home I answer "that's none of your business". This article never stated who originated this law; was it the American Medical Association or the Govt.? Folks need to wake up and stop being led like sheep to the slaughterhouse when it comes to our natural born rights. Otherwise, before long, they'll be history.
