We need to keep both of them in our prayers, the young man use to go to church with us and is in our sons Total Rangers at church. He lost hearing in one ear and they aren’t sure about his fingers.

We’ve been using a PVC pipe stuck in the ground for years but now I’m thinking that could be another disaster if something went wrong., I have respect for all fireworks, especially sparklers, which caused a relative to be severely burned (3rd degree) on the leg.

Most of the fire works are made in China. They are very dangerous and should not be lit holding them. The fuses do not burn at a set time and this happens every year. The individuals who lite firecrackers in their hand are taking a great risk. They should all be banned.

One thing folks need to remember when handling fireworks, is there cheap and are made in China.

REGARDING:

We are not supposed to set off explosives in our hands. This is regrettable, but not the cause of others. Other than burns some fairly powerful fireworks can be set off in an open hand. (Don’t try it, though.) The problem comes when they are confined in a closed hand.

Thoughts and prayers to the victims of these accidents. Fireworks are inherently dangerous, and males do not fully develop their brain until they are in their early 20s. I know because I did some incredibly dangerous things with firecrackers as a young man, and but for the grace of God anyone of us could have been in the victims place. I just wish that there could be some mandated changes in legal fireworks with the larger displays which could some how force greater distance between the person igniting the display. There are so many things which can go wrong on the more powerful fireworks. I got stung by cattails, but anything bigger than a cherry bomb or an m-80 is just a disaster waiting to happen. Hopefully medical science will do everything they can for these young victims and they will live a full life.

Both of these men are in my prayers. How sad they were just celebrating their freedom and wanting to have some fun. As close as these accidents happened, they have to have purchased the fireworks at the same place. I’m not in to lawsuits, but in these cases I’d be tracking the fireworks all the way back to the factory, we cannot have this!

A terrible accident. Hope the going man will be OK. What kind of fireworks was he shooting? Did he know the man who was hurt on Monday? Did they buy the fireworks at the same place?
