We visited Lake Stone campground for the 1st time over the 4th of July week. I found the facility to be very welcoming. The facilities were very well kept. The campground was well groomed and very clean. The caretaker Mr. Dennis Cole was very professional and helpful with any needs. It was a very worthy trip and we will be back soon. Thank you Mr. Cole and Lake Stone.

Yes.. Lake Stone is a wonderful place to be unless you want to fish…the green moss has taken over the lake and fishing is next to impossible. The moss problem has been ongoing for some time now…. Parks and Recreation do your job and get this moss problem taken care of. Hello! Commissioners please tell me at least one of you love to fish!

Guys- remember it’s 24/7 for 365. It’s a really nice park and we love to camp there but 24/7 for 365. I think you would get bored very easily. I know you would receive time off (some) but still.

This is a beautiful campground. Always clean, well maintained and quiet. Thank you to the county and especially the caretaker. He deserves a raise! Great job Dennis Cole.
