Follow the money and campaign contributions. Big pharm, the Alcohol industry, and the restaurant associations have been fighting this in other states as they are losing millions of dollars of sales in Colorado, Washington, and Oregon. Too early to see what the dollar losses will be in California, but they will be huge in the tourist driven state of Florida as people drop alcohol consumption by almost 15% which represents a huge drop in profits for a restaurant as people stay home or do not order alcohol. Big pharm who has the nation addicted to opiods will lose billions. So it is not hard to figure out what is going on as it was the same story in other states. In some states they make a cancer victim get fingerprinted before they can get their medicine as they have outrageous costs for the license and make it as difficult as possible. There is panic in the industries as lower crime rates and less highway deaths in those states are causing people to see how harmful alcohol has been to society compared to pot.

EVERYTHING Ray Rodrigues says is a lie. Both the house and senate should hang their heads in SHAME. It was flawed legislation from the get-go, full OVER-REGULATION and NOT what 72% of voters voted for.

There are not…many thousands of dispensaries/ Thats what this is all about. AND they are not tax exempt. Nor are the pile of pharmaceutical companies in the like. No one opens a business for free and free from taxes
