64% – Prizes

&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;28% – Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF)&lt;&lt;&lt;&lt;&lt;

5% – Retailers

2% – Vendors

1% – Administrative costs

The Florida Lottery employs 420 employees statewide. In 2015, the Lottery paid $17,853,343 in salaries.

So none of it is listed as diverted to other things. I&#039;m not sure where the money spent to convince people to do foolish things like gambling their heard earned money away is paid from.

It is interesting to think of hidden costs. Money spent on lottery tickets did not buy other things, so we will never know how many businesses went belly-up because of the business it cost them and the businesses which suffered by losing THEM.

Oh well, fools will be fools.
