Anne makes a couple valid points.Me personally when I started in the first grade prayer was banned in school, since three generations of kids have come along. Now there out of control with noone to answer to.We have a president now that I hope will put God back in the education system.

Past experiences with Charter Schools is there are some Very Excellent ones.

There are also some that quite honestly just "Pass Along the Student" by using a single test to determine proficiency then signing off on that subject, usually with a grade of C or higher even if the student had Failed the subject in regular school.
Students have said all they had to do was show up and take one test which the teacher helped with. No gaining of knowledge, just passing the course, graduating.
Have seen Charter School administrators "Reconfigure" student permanent records to remove previously unacceptable grades and replace them with higher performing documentation. Done in the name of "Making the student feel better about their self image".
Have seen Charter Schools that employed members of the Director's family, friends, etc even if not qualified for those positions.
Hope things change yet have little to base that hope upon.
Good Luck Florida
