Amtrak is profitable and reasonable there. The only way it is cheaper elsewhere is due to subsidies -- taking from others to benefit the few who do use it. I am not sad about Amtrak looking funds and would like to see more and deeper cuhe made by this administration if it cannot support itself the it ends just like any other business .
