Dr. Saunders referred to the '60's and it was a great decade. Then if you went to college, the expectation was to complete your studies in four years. Now??? Then if you wished to study for a Master's Degree, you could complete your work over a protracted period...if you were gainfully employed. Yet, there was an expectation that you would complete ALL of your required classes in four or five summers. Now??? Having the UWF in our area is a blessing for so many. Still, the liberal element of the university life will infect some with the entitlement virus. Our university and college system in America have become a pathetic joke (not all or course), so it would be nice to see some acknowledgement of that and a change of course from the prevailing failed path the rest of the system has been on.
