Day after day throughout the years ,
Behind the fences is where I work.
I deal with inmates from all walks of life
knowing everyday I could get hurt.
There have been times throughout my career
that I’ve had my share of pain ,
But nevertheless I do my best so my efforts are not in vain.
We are proud of who we are and together we stand strong,
Each of us are devoted to watch each other’s back
and we never walk alone.

no one truly cares about the inmates .. they deserve what they get,, my Dad was the first Medic hired at the Holman Unit near Atmore when it opened ,, The horror stories I heard set my mind fold on how I feel about the inmates,, I know several incidents when he was lucky he walked out,, The inmates have no soul there for they have no concern for others , Lets all be more concerned for the people that walk through the gates to do their job everyday

@Dan—- I agree with you 100% about this. When responding, officers should be able to use ample force to make an example out of the assaulting inmate to others. However, like you say, most are animals. Those are the ones that deserve whatever happens to them. The media should wake up and see what’s happening. Stop manipulating the public to sympathize with these animals.

We do know about one of these and have an upcoming report. Not the others. Make us aware when something happens and we can get the facts.

No comments because no one cares until the officers get accused of abusing a inmate and then everyone has something to say or if a inmate attaches an officer and then the comments will be about how bad they get treated when the reality is most of these idiots are animals and will never be rehabilitated which really sucks for the few that are trying to change their lives

When in prison, lock each person in a cell by themselves, leave them there until time is up. No more interaction, no more problem.

There were three staff assaults in the past two weeks at this institution. Four Correctional Officers were treated at local emergency rooms. I did not read about any of those incidents in any paper or news article. When did the safety and security of the staff become the least of our priorities. These Officers have families, They are our neighbors, our son, daughters, husbands, wives, mothers and our children. They are important. The inmates also have families and are loved, but are usually involved in some kind of crime when these assaults occur. Very seldom does an inmate get “attacked” unprovoked. These assaults occur during gang violence, over thefts or some other behavior that would be considered criminal on the streets. These Officers were hired to maintain order and to ensure the public safety, yours and mine. For that they are assaulted abused, forgotten, reticule, and underpaid. Now who wants to sign up to do this job when they all get fed up and leave.
