Good step in the right direction. I was in South Fl. recently Tampa/Orlando.
Sitting in a friends 4 door pickup in idle waiting for his wife to come out of Publix.
A guy (addict) opens the rear door leans in to take a backpack with us in the truck, not seeing us through the tinted windows before opening. Pulled my concealed carry and scared the crap out of him. Shocked me, I thought my friend had the doors locked.
Two weeks later go to Mc Donalds one morning and later hear Boyette was at the gas station beside it some time the same morning. Sure appreciate Concealed Carry.

We have a senator worried about two prosecutors saying it will cost them more to prosecute a case.

HELLO!!!!

What about the costs to all of the innocent people that have to prove their innocence, to avoid prosecution? I guess their additional costs don't count, or what? That's the most ridiculous damn thing I've heard in at least the last 2 - 3 days, and the yo-yo that topped that one was dumber than a fence post!

Having to prove your innocence to avoid prosecution under stand your ground is in direct conflict of article 11 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. You know, the one that states "You are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law." What part of that is the prosecution trying to deny everyone? It is their job to find cause to prosecute you if you appear guilty. As the Florida Prosecuting Attorneys Association wishes things, you are guilty until you prove your innocence to the court. Talk about a violation of human rights!!!

REGARDING:
"Sen. Gary Farmer, D-Fort Lauderdale, said shifting the burden of proof in “stand your ground” cases would incentivize people involved in shooting incidents to leave no witnesses.

"Dead men tell no tales,” Farmer said. “That’s a phrase that goes back to pirate days, and that’s why pirates were so ruthless, and that’s why pirates made sure that everyone died, so they could tell no tales.” "

If you can't prove murder when a bunch of unarmed people have been slaughtered or facing away from the killer, you shouldn't be in that job.

The comment about pirates is correct, though. They should all be hanged from the yardarm or any other support.
