The beaches have been cleaned up. The beach rental condo owners, restaurants, hotels, workers, charter boat captains, home builders, roofers, carpenters, mental health workers (to console those worried about the spill), and a host of other businesses have been reimbursed for their losses, real or imagined, and now BP is paying another $4.9 billion for economic development and yet the need and/or loss for this $4.9 billion hasn't been identified several years later? The economic damages have already been paid. This is a HUGE sum of money. Shouldn't this money be banked for future spills or future issues surrounding the Horizon spill? Instead, it will be wasted on pork belly projects. Such a shame.
