If you do the research, you will find that CCW holders commit misdemeanors and felonies at 1/10 the rate of police officers according to studies taken between October 1, 1987 and January 31, 2015 in Florida and at 1/6 the rate in Texas.
Not a slam on cops, just the facts as they stand.

How about on board military installations? Base security personnel carry privately-owned weapons on base, why can’t the rest of us vetted and licensed civilians conceal carry legally on the base? A badge should not give you special privilege.

If we are anything like Georgia, it is documented that cops commit more crimes than CCW holders. If memory serves me, it was less than .1 or .01%.
We are the safest people to be around, statistically speaking

Great article. Finally some sense in our legislative branch. Tougher gun laws only impede the rights of law abiding citizens. Criminals get their guns illegally, period. No gun laws passed reflect on their ability to obtain firearms. That’s really the lefts intention though, to use these terrorism acts looped on CNN to take away rights of good people.

I would find it interesting to know how many people with a conceal carry permit have used a weapon in commission of a crime in Florida.
