Think about if it was you that was hit, had to spend 3 months in a hospital bed hundreds of miles away from home, had to celebrate a milestone birthday with a bunch of medical staff instead of friends and family, had to learn you walk again, had to wonder why you were laying there suffering while the person who did this was just going about their life like nothing out of the ordinary happened.
