A $2.00 tablet? Sounds pretty cheap. Is this the one that catches on fire? Just asking.

So a council member will either use free wifi at the library, or eat up their own data at their residence, or use it at their business. Or, they have to travel to a neighboring town and use free wifi in order to to do Century's business. I don't have a better alternative.

The tablets themselves aren't that expensive - a one time cost to set everyone up, then later on to replace or maintain aged or worn tablets.

The data is what is expensive. The article plainly says that if they use Wi-Fi, then they won't be charged when using the tablets. Data usage would take place only if Wi-Fi were not available, OR an emergency required the use of data.

I think it's a good move - you can't do business the "old-fashioned" way anymore, even if you want to. Times have changed and the world has moved on. Most businesses use this type of technology, so it makes sense that the city council would do so as well.

>>> McDonald’s is also a Wi Fi hot spot and probably Whataburger and Hardee’s as well.

There is no McDonalds or Hardees in Century. Whataburger does not offer free WiFI

What rates will they raise to pay for these tablets. $2.00 is a lot of money in the real world. Can this town really afford their agenda?

>>Where is there free Wifi in Century?

The library.

The article does not say they must use "free" wi-fi. They can use wi-fi anywhere the are allowed -- their home, their business, a friend's house, the town hall, etc.

Where is there free Wifi in Century? And, what is "about" $2.00? Seems like some vague description.
