Ok make a medicine, injection or a pill from pot, real doctor prescribes it, real Pharmacy fills it not just something for somebody to smoke and get high on.

Of all drugs , including alcohol, marijuana is the least deadly, addictive & dangerous “drug”. It is a plant. No where comparable to the coco plant or poppies!
I agree that not many MD’s will want to deal with the added headache that will come with certification in this field.
Very sad that our government dictates how our docs care for us

@Kane– Nope, not old at all. I’m almost 40. Got prescribed pain pills from my primary care doctor for a minor injury. I was hooked in 2004. I had my family doctor prescribing meds that i couldn’t even take (90 Roxi 30mg, 90 roxi 15 mg, and 90 xanax)
By 2010 after DEA says he cant prescribe those meds he gives me methadone.
I finally progressed to Pain Mgmt and have been pain med free since last summer. I always held a job and had no problems other than being addicted. I guess you could say functioning addict. Yet i know exactly what i’m talking about. Your opinion is driven by emotion for your sister. Believe me, even Pain Mgmt doctors are apprehensive about prescribing strong meds. They’ll try every time release med before anything. Why do you think all the real pillheads are going to Navarre, Opp Alabama, and further to see a doctor now.

Oh! I hurt somewhere and all that will help me is pot. Thank goodness for dehabilitating rehabilitating drug. I will feel better when my street corner doctor writes and fills my prescription.
It is just plain wrong.

What?? Hard for patients to find Dr’s to prescribe pain killers that is nonsense you pulled that straight out of your behind!! My own sister was addicted to pain killers that she RECIEVED FROM A DOCTOR. This is just more paranoia and old people being old.

Sounds like we the people are being fed more lies.

If marijuana has a legitimate medical use then physicians should be able to prescribe it. You should go to the doctor, get a scrip, and go to the pharmacy and get your “medicine”. I always wondered why we were voting on this.

Now we are talking about marijuana dispensaries opening up everywhere? Shouldn’t this be a pharmacy item like all other legal, doctor-prescribed drugs? I think we have been hood-winked again by the liberal, progressive, anti-life communists in our midst.

I wish I could take back my vote for “medical” marijuana.
