I am glad they are getting good value.

Google is one example that you don't get what you pay for since you pay nothing for it, you get much, much from it.

The Chromebooks cost money but very little comparatively speaking and replace more expensive sources.

David for a better world & those who better it

People think the attraction to Chromebooks is price. Yes that is a plus. But it really is that they are simply a better solution.

For almost 2 years now been replacing my kids Macbooks as they wear down with Chromebooks. One of the smartest things I have done. I hand the Chromebook to one of my kids and never hear back. Being the house admin (not paid and did not ask for job) I could not be happier.

I view Windows the bottom and then a step up is MacOS and then the top tier is ChromeOS. This is in terms of my time being required.

We do have Windows exclusively on very high-end machines for my hardcore gaming kids. But these same kids do all of their "real" work including school work all on Chromebooks.

My 2nd oldest is in a CS University program and all his software he does in Crouton on a Chromebook. He has a 4790k, RX480, etc PC!

Until MS modifies Windows to improve the user and admin experience I do not believe any price is going to make a difference, IMO.
