Two more (I'm on a roll)
In Century we have an advantage with having our town council. We as citizens can reach out to each of them privately if we choose and unlike Pensacola they are not subject and bounded by any district. I think we can have ideas and come up with solutions and present them to the counselor of our choice. Of course one can attend the meetings to see what they may have come up with, what they are working on what someone has asked them to implement. Not my style necessarily but I support them none the less. I am realizing a lot can be done individually, finding something you think needs to be done, figuring out to how to get it done. research on Google etc. Present it and expect them to address it. I have a pet project that is important to me. I brought it forth, it hasn't happened but I know it is a great idea for us all and it affects others coming through here or who take part in some of the services provided here. We are all connected.

One More
With all due respect, No resolutions were passed. It is complicated.
With the Sunshine Law, I think each governing body which has the ability to make decisions and pass ordinances is not allowed to interact with in itself unless it is a public meeting so each district and governing body has their own issues and it takes a lot of time to try to tell their story and perhaps the other doesn't have the same agenda or way of looking at things.
Not so sure a lot get accomplished that way
I believe my mayor can meet with my commissioner and I hope they do. But each governing body has to do the actual votes and decision in a public forum.
All the Best to all involved.
Gives me a head ache!!

Watched the entire meeting live streamed. Three hours long. http://www.ci.pensacola.fl.us/428/Live-Meeting-Video

In many ways gave me a new appreciation for North Escambia. Steve Barry is our man. I have to say, I am intrigued in the local government process and the more I learn the more I realize how much I do not know.
