No where I seen in the article that there was no light’s on on the 18 wheeler. Did I mis something? Glad the lady was not hurt bad

Came upon wreck shortly after it happened. At location, on a straight, unobstructed portion of road, at the time of day, in the weather conditions present, there was no reason for this accident to have happened, except inattention to what she was doing. Had she been paying attention, it would have been hard not to realize the semi was stopped. At least she didn’t appear to have been speeding.

Don’t know circumstances but……on that road or any like it
turning on the hazard flashers or brake lights can sure alert
drivers coming up behind that something’s going on up ahead.
just sitting there ( waiting ) with nothing blinking etc. is very dangerous .

not true D.O.T. bumpers stop even the smallest car from going under semi trailers in a rear collision.

Nasty looking crash. a smaller car would have had a rear end through the windshield.
