Comments on: Century Changing Uniform Companies, Saving Thousands

I would like to see that Mayor Hawkins and our council members attend meetings in Pensacola and with Escambia Government and put for in all the programs and such that are available. They have joint meetings. Century should be there.

The next one is Monday January 30, 1 PM, City Hall 222 W. Main St. Pensacola. They get in the fray, vying for money and programs. I will really be excited to see a story here with our elected officials in it there as they should be making a difference. Will they attend or not? Watch and see.

What company are you referring to? You don’t have to post here but I think they might appreciate that information.

I keep looking on their web site and his email still shows Freddie McCall’s. I may call on Monday and get it.!

Pump the brakes, people. We are only talking about a $400 per month change. A little more research into work clothing and the town could have got them even cheaper AND bought from businesses within the county. It is EASY to come in and look at everything we do and make small changes even down to where we purchase pencils from. Let’s see how he tackles bringing business back to Century and cleaning this town up.

I work for a major employer in the county that is far more wealthy than the town or Century, and I have to wash my uniforms myself, and I don’t even have to purchase them. Not everyone in the country has it that good, I have heard where some folks had to purchase uniforms out of their pocket, AND wash themselves.

I didn’t like the garbage fee increase but hey; this is potentially a good move. At least he’s trying, better than some towns around us who are At More or less ran by the Good Ole Boys!

This is absurd. How about cut your own check and councils check. I am all for saving money but not on the backs of the very ones who run the Town for you. Shameful
