My daughter was driving us home from Tennessee, and hit a raccoon on the interstate if you can believe that! It was trotting across her lane and she had no where to go, so she hit the animal. Unfortunate, but good thinking on her part as it would have caused a serious accident if she had tried to avoid it. Minor damage to the front of the vehicle. 70 MPH is a bad speed to hit anything!

RIP raccoon!

Unfortunately most drivers reaction is to try to avoid an animal crossing their path thereby putting their self in danger of a collision resulting in vehicle damage and personal injuries or even death.

As much as I love dogs I love humans more. Next time hit the dog. It is much safer. Trees are hard.
