I remember my first job interview, they told me they would pay me what I was worth. I told them I would not work that cheap. And that is why we have a minimum wage.

People who work at minimum wage will put the increase, of any amount, right back into the economy so it will be good for the economy, but this amount is still far below the poverty level.
We have a large amount of top heavy businesses with CEO’s and upper-level management paying themselves more than they are worth while exploiting lower level employees at minimum wage keeping those employees stuck where they still have to depend on food stamps and any other assistance in order to try and make ends meet.
If you are against a higher minimum wage, you should do the math and look at the numbers.
If a business can’t afford to pay its employees above minimum wage, they were most likely already a business that isn’t going to make it already. It’s my guess that folks who buy into the rhetoric that this increase is going to hurt small businesses have never ran a business that they owned and grew themselves.

The Consumer Price Index walks hand in hand with the Minimum Wage Increase.

Many small businesses will cease operations, Larger companies will automate, prices for goods and services will increase for everyone and fewer jobs.

If you want a better paying job/career, attend school and receive academic/technical training. Start with economics 101.

THANK YOU Gov. Scott. You are so generous to give a whole .05 /C raise. You can’t get much cheaper than this. I think they should keep their nickel until than can a real increase, maybe a dime. When is the last time state leaders have been given a 5 cent raise. What a bunch of cheapskates

Minimum wage needs to go up a lot more. It is inhumane to pay a dedicated, hard working individual wages that do not pay enough to live a legal lifestyle.

Minimum wage goes up and your hours will go down. The folks who get free stuff are gonna want less hours so it wont interfere with food stamps and other assistance working folks somehow dont qualify for.
