What business in this county is operating on the same income as 1988? None. Our deputies and their supervisors are the lowest paid when compared to like sized counties and law enforcement agencies. We can't keep them. The county pays to train them then they leave. And rightfully so. You would leave too for a $10k+ increase to do the exact same job.
