Several problems……way to much speed ( let’s call it speedway 29 ) instead of ((highway 29 ) . ” We the people must be scared of getting a $1′000 ticket ….but we ain’t.” Way too much distracted driving ( phones,make-up,food etc )….not scared yet. Deficient driving skills & knowledge of road rules combined with a lack of common sense. Now add in a bunch of plain old rudeness and poor egress/ingress road design and it is what it is…….” a very dangerous road “

Challenge the news to go and take pics of this site. This is my daily stop from home. SE corner facing 29 is fully overgrown out into the right of way. By at least8-10 feet

Or we could do what the Europeans do: Increase the cost of a DL to around $2000, which includes private driving lessons (more than the joke that is Driver’s Ed) and is more of right of passage as opposed to a “non-chalantism”. Use the increased funds to build passenger rail lines and let those who can’t afford it move around on public transport. One can surf the internet, text, and talk all they want- with no consequences- while riding a train!

The number of accidents in this area is neither a coincidence nor justification for more traffic lights. It is a direct reflection of a person’s inability to multi-task, lack of attention to detail, and/or sub-par attention spans. I say to the good drivers out there, stay alert, maintain a defensive driving posture, and let natural selection continue to weed out the non-hackers.

DRIVERS: PAY ATTENTION!!! Careless and wreckless mistakes hurt and kill people. Do not harm other people. If you choose to drive, then pay attention, have current registration and have insurance. I don’t think adding more traffic lights will help. It would be more money spent unnecessarily. The safety is what should be between one’s ears.

I know we are a small rural town but we need a light at Barrineau Park Rd and 29. We also need one at Molino Rd and 29.

I go through this intersection all the time without an ounce of issues.
I really cant believe that there are this many accidents in such a simple intersection.
Put the phones down and take a minute to wait for traffic to pass before going.

This is a fast intersection. If you sit and wait long enough all traffic clears out. Most people are going 70 mph when they reach the intersection. I love on this road and there is an accident a week here. Don’t let people behind you rush you. Wait until it is completely clear and go. I do and the impatient people will
