I learned crazy information. A company in the combating mosquitos field is considering unleashing genetically modified mosquitos into the vicinity of the zika mosquito infestation to fight off and destroy the natural zika mosquito. OH! I researched around and it is claimed that it is the modified mosquitos that are causing the condition of the babies born with bad health. AND other countries, besides Brazil and here, have had zika and our bodies fight it off and build immunization naturally, and NONE of the children have been born sick like they say in any of these situations. This concerns me. Something's fishy.

@ No Excuses

Not a bad idea at all to put fish into the storm water retention ponds.

They could be raised in that Fancy Fish Ranch that somebody thinks is a Wonderful Idea down on the expensive waterfront of Main Street in downtown next to Nick's Boathouse Restaurant and the Studer Bog.

The fish would have to be some naturally common type because Lord help us if they became "Endangered" like that pesky Perdido Beach MOUSE has done. What a mess and expense to us taxpayers that has become. Oh, we were out there last weekend and the "Mouse Tunnels" are filling up with drifting sand.

Good point Bob C. There are species of fish that eat mosquito lavae, though. Can we perhaps put some of those in the retaining ponds to help with control?

RETENTION Ponds for stormwater runoff make Excellent breeding spots for mosquitoes of all nationalities and types.
Escambia County sees a drainage problem and instead of providing a way to actually move the water they Dig a Big Hole and then leave it.

Gov Scott, do we really think there's a way to stop the Zika bearing mosquitoes?
You might as well make all schools and communities put up a Sign, NO Skeeters Allowed.
