Could it be that lack of interest is why there is so much corruption(?), not a question. Should we not be paying more attention? People in government positions that should be totally knowledgeable of the laws deserve the harshest penalties when they break the law. Does anyone wonder how extreme wealth can be had when in “serving” in a government job? It amazes me that so few (I don’t remember any) comment on the government that has so much control over their lives.
