As a carpetbagger, you folks should be thankful! This is a very small amount of new laws compared to other states and the majority of these new laws simply make life simpler and better! Our conservative reps are doing a great job of keeping taxes down and they understand our priorities.

Reviewing school anti-bullying efforts? - great idea

Lifetime fishing license sticker on your drivers license? - great idea

Limiting Sales tax for non-profits? - great idea

Earmarking money to protect the tourist spots (springs and likes)? great idea

More veteran's benefits? great idea

Ensuring mental health benefits no matter how the afflicted enter the system? great idea (may prohibit an 'Orlando Event' someday)!

Don't understand the boxing one though - gonna get more info on it.

CONSIDERING:
"God only gave us 10 and we can’t even seem to keep those."

Actually, many more including stoning bad children, killing witches, not vexing strangers.

"We need a law making new laws illegal"

A new law making new laws illegal? But wouldn't that invalidate itself?

"Pretty soon, people will be afraid to step out their door or speak to another person for fear of breaking some law."

I always assume I am. Every 4th of July I am reminded we are a nation of outlaws as we enjoy our rockets and explosives. This is good.

"i want to know Who fought for the law against the proliferation of those blasted styrofoam containers!"

It doesn't read that way. It forbids smaller governments in the state from regulating them. Besides, can you REALLY have too much styrofoam??

"children have developmental disabilities, referred to as “unique abilities” "

stupid > retarded > special > autistic > development disabilities > unique abilities
We keep seeking less offensive terms for what is often the same thing, but in time it also becomes offensive because people know what it describes.

" is intended to provide job opportunities and financial independence for people with disabilities."

I know one who complained that there was no reason to not keep her because she worked just fine as long as someone else watched her constantly and told her every last thing to do. Two people to do a one-person job. Makes perfect sense -- to her.

We need to adjust our laws every now and then. We need to review their effectiveness, good and harm.

Good thing it takes a jury to convict a person of breaking even of the most obscure law.

David for good things

How in this world does one keep up with the new laws. When new laws are made, I would think that it's replacing an old law, IF so ( remove the old law from the BOOK). .

@Friction
Or at least to review and get rid of 2 old laws for every single new law passed. Pretty soon, people will be afraid to step out their door or speak to another person for fear of breaking some law.
