@Phil : If you’re worried about the cost of the window, then obey the law. Leaving an animal in a closed-up vehicle in the heat is illegal, and the officers were complying with regulations.

Lady at Marvin’s in Atmore let me bring my little dog in Sunday; don’t know her name but what a kind thing to do in order to protect the dog….I was only in the store a minute but I asked if she could come in and she said yes. Tractor Supply will also allow pets in the store.

If this were a child they’d have taken all the children. No one wants to see an animal in the pound but perhaps they should take them all away temporarily and make the owner show they can be responsible enough to have the dogs back. Give them a court date and as community service they can work at the shelter and see what happens to abused, mistreated and unwanted animals.

Considering the story, lack of responsibility on the part of an adult this could have very easily been a child instead of a puppy. Please remember, for all, that may read this…to pass it on…a car will heat to 120 degrees in no time flat. An adult would die in that situation! There are so many warnings about this issue. Are folks just not reading or listening?
