REGARDING:
"Nothing else to say, exactly what is it that the leftists/socialists do not understand about this??"

A couple of things.

First, many don't understand that this amendment to the Constitution blocks any government from infringing. By its wording, it was not just a block on the power of the federal government to limit freedom to keep and bear arms, it refers to the right of the people. The Constitution places restrictions on what the Federal Government can do and what the State governments can do. This amendment limits either from infringing.

Second, many don't understand the Constitution is an agreement which overrides all others. It doesn't matter if I like what you do or if you don't like what I do as long as the Constitution allows us to do it.

David for obedience to law whenever possible

Concerned Citizen, I ask myself the same question every time they bring it up. I hope they don't have to have it explained to them the hard way.

The only people in the United States that have assault weapons is the guards that protect our elected officials and those with a class 3 license.

How dumb is it to ban someone on a watch list (especially if you do not want them to know you are watching them) from purchasing a weapon, and what is the criteria for being put on that list.

The biggest problem in this country in fighting terrorism is this, we do not have a national identity. We let everybody in with different beliefs, and different cultures, and by this we have to deal with culture clashes, and this has magnified in to more political correctness, because knowone wants to be deemed intolerant. This will eventually distroy this country.

If you are feeding an angry baby, and it throws it's peas on the floor, are you going to take them away, no you are going to deal with the anger.
