Back in the day, my Grandfather and others were smart enough to hang them from a tree especially if they had languished in a cell this long. Perhaps it is cruel and unusual to not make a swift decision and carry out a sentence. I believe the framers of the constitution would read this story about the judges and lawyers and tar and feather them and run them out of town on a rail. The criminals would be broken out of the jail by a mob and be swinging in public display. I can respect that. This is beyond being reasonable. If I am on a jury I will recommend the death penalty.
