The churches are full of drug addicts, drunks and porn addicts. Going to church don’t make you anything.. good ..bad or otherwise. Cathy we know you love your nephew now put that love into action and attend some AA meetings with him. Because those will open your eyes to the addiction of alcohol.

@Cathy — Josh may be your nephew, however there are certain mistakes which society has deemed crimes.

this is why the penalty is imposed – we (society) demand it, and we (society) get it. unless you would rather see your nephew lynched by us (individuals) had the ambulance had a patient in it that died as a result of your nephew’s drinking problem.

so far, we (society) are asking for penalties for the nephew based on:
— above .08 Blood alcohol content at 11.25 in the MORNING.
– fleeing the scene of an accident.

your feelings for the nephew are quite truthfully at this point irrelevant. He couldn’t control his drinking, so now we (society) demand a judge control his freedom.

now in an interesting side note… when the county decides to recover the cost of the damage to the ambulance from your nephew while he was driving under the influence, will the county perhaps retain the services of David Maloney to help them out? (the question is rhetorical, it made its point when it was asked.)

I don’t think the Judge will give him a break because he goes to church. Not only did he cause damage, he left the scene. People could have been hurt and he didn’t even care.

Josh did not make a mistake. He chose to drink and drive and this is what happens when bad choices are made. He needs to thank God that he didn’t kill anyone.This was no mistake!!!! Hopefully this will help him get his life in order.

I remember standing before a judge, in my youth, with a poker hand of traffic tickets, but never anything like this guy is facing. I would not wanna be him right now, he is in for some hefty fines & probably jail time. 31, man, that’s old enough to know better.

Glad the EMTs are okay, we need all of them we can get.
