I wonder if any of the kids had to Google the word 'dictionary' - either way, outstanding program!

The best start to their own library at home. Many people I know will admit to reading a dictionary for fun. It is fun to look for a word which is no longer in a newer dictionary. 20,000 words is still my favorite. It has only the spelling of the word. It stays in the Scrabble box. Yes, we know the rules, but the children become very good at spelling.

What a GREAT project! It surprises me how many TEACHERS don't have dictionaries in their rooms any more. TOO MANY students AND teachers have become dependent on electronics (i.e., the Internet) to do the work for them.
