It’s impossible to see through fog & this could’ve easily happened to any driver. I don’t think there’s anything that could’ve prevented it except for the log truck to have flashing lights -we’re praying for the driver and family. It’s a miracle that he’s alive, that’s what matters.

BG This situation had nothing to do with wood debris on the road and yes there are some pieces of tree bark along the way on hwy. 29 and east bound on the side of Muscogee rd. are some long pieces of wood there where the excess length load was cut off and left there. It does need to be cleaned up.
This collision happened because the log truck driver was being more cautious because of the low visibility conditions thus driving slower than the driver coming from behind at a greater speed and did not see the required blinking amber light at the end of the logs nor the protruding logs or the lights on the rear of the trailer in time to avoid the collision. And that is why contacts in these and other situations are called COLLISIONS. GETERDONE

Mick has a point about the wood debris. Look all over Ugly & Dirty Cantonment at
the wood debris everywhere on side the road. The wood trucks should have to pay to have the streets cleaned up. Praying for this man.

My prayers to the driver, I will remember u tonight and for the next few days until we recieve an update.
To anyone who supports these hazardous vehicles, and I lived in the north end 10 years, they are a menance, ill equipped, never carry proper alert lights symbols…get them the hell off the road and find a better means to transpot those much needed loads. Anyone who disagrees, then you will eventually run into this accident or somewhat similar situation…they run not only us off the roads, but shame on them, school busses too…pathetic to stand in support of one of these careless, ill equipped drivers.

Hey this is my daddy and I would really like it if yall would please quit commenting rude stuff about the wreck. He is my daddy and God is with him and God is healing him. Yes it was super foggy and yes he more than likely didn’t see the logs because they are so dark you can’t see them when it’s foggy. I really want yall to please keep the rude comments and any other comments about my dad that has to do with his driving and the truck alone. It is really making my sister and I really upset. We could have lost him but we didn’t because of God. So please just stop being rude and start being considerate of his family that is going through a lot right now!
