I had the pleasure to work with Chip on several occasions over the past year as he supported emergency services call centers. He was a dedicated professional and pleasure to work with. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and coworkers and my deepest sympathies to his lovely fiancee. May the love love and support you have together see you through this difficult time.

Chip Bonds is my Brother & was one of nicest person you can meet , this week has been hard & it’s not over , but Chip would not want pre judge what happened, we need to wait tell the FHP investigations over with , if there no medical issues with the other driver yes by all means he needs to be Charged with vehicle homicide , Chip was going to be getting married next month for the first time in his life , Chip Bonds viewing is Friday @ 5 to 8 funeral service 11 AM Saturday morning @ Faith chapel north , in lieu of flowers like any donations to the Shriners temple , may Chip RIP

Age doesn’t make a bad driver..I have seen 20-30-40- year olds do the same stupid thing. A lapse in judgement does not make a murderer. At 73 yes he should be evaluated after such a tragedy. My prayers for the Bonds family and friends.

A murder charge requires intent. There was none in this case. Grounds for vehicular manslaughter – possibly. Medical condition or not – I strongly suspect age was a big factor. Cognitive abilities such as discerning speed/distance decrease. Reaction times slow. An individual can become momentarily overwhelmed with a split second decision and react incorrectly. Annual driving road tests for individuals above 65 should be mandatory – in my opinion. My prayers go out to Mr. Bond’s family and friends. May God give them strength in this time of sorrow.
